Well-thought-out standard equipment from the factory
Every tent trailer comes as standard with a sturdy floor pan, integrated mosquito nets, generous storage space, and an annexroom. This increases the living area to up to 23 m². The floor is firmly connected to the tent walls, providing extra protection in wet conditions.
Accessories and upgrades possible at any time
In addition to the basic equipment, you can expand your tent trailer with extra accessories. These include, for example, a pull-out kitchen, storage boxes, sun sails, a bike rack, or an anti-sway coupling.
Quick setup in minutes
The Economy tent trailer is set up in about one minute, the Family tent trailer in around three minutes. The setup can easily be done by one person.
Robust materials for many years
The tent fabric is a 450 g blended cotton-polyester fabric. The material is breathable, dimensionally stable, and resistant to rain and wind.
No special driving licence required
For most tent trailer variants, a standard driving licence is sufficient. As long as your car is suitable for the permissible gross weight, you can use the trailer on public roads.
Also usable in everyday life
After your holiday, you can remove the tent platform and use the trailer as a regular utility trailer. DIY store, moving, or transport: Your tent trailer won’t sit around unused—it stays in action.

CAMPWERK was founded in 2010 by Michael Krämer, a passionate outdoor fan who found the common camping products of his time inadequate.
The tents were either too complicated to set up or not stable enough to withstand the challenges of adventurous travel So he decided to create something of his own: tent trailers that are not only robust enough for any adventure, but also give you the comfort of a second home.
What started as a small vision has grown into a successful company across Europe. Today, we are Germany’s leading expert for tent trailers and roof tents, with our own development, production, logistics, and customer service.
We’re represented at 40 trade fairs across Germany and operate Showrooms nationwide. CAMPWERK regularly brings new, unique products to market, like our hybrid roof tent or the first hardside roof tent without fabric. Even if many imitate us, with us you always get the original.

How much does a tent trailer cost?
Tent trailer prices depend on the model you choose and the type of trailer. At CAMPWERK, you can choose between the Economy tent trailer and the Family tent trailer. You also decide on a trailer variant such as ONROAD 750 kg, ONROAD 1300 kg, or OFFROAD 1500 kg. In the configurator, you put your tent trailer together step by step. Once you’ve selected all options, you can have your personal quote sent to you by email.
Which tent trailer fits my car?
That depends on your vehicle’s permissible towing capacity and your intended use.
For normal road trips, the ONROAD variants with 750 kg or 1,300 kg are suitable.
For off-road vehicles, SUVs, or trips away from paved roads, the OFFROAD variant with 1,500 kg is suitable. If you’re unsure, we’ll advise you and check together which tent trailer fits your vehicle.
What’s the difference between Economy and Family tent trailers?
The Economy tent trailer offers 9 to 18 m² of floor space, is set up in about one minute, and is suitable for 1 to 3 people. The Family tent trailer offers 11 to 23 m² of living space, is set up in around 3 minutes, and sleeps 2 to 5 people. Both models have a payload of up to 1,050 kg and a load volume of up to 1,475 liters.
How fast is a tent trailer set up?
The Economy tent trailer is set up in about one minute. The Family tent trailer takes around three minutes. The setup is designed so it can be done by one person. The tent is unfolded and brought into position. Thanks to the comfortable working height, you work standing up—without kneeling on the ground or using a lot of force.
Can I configure my tent trailer myself?
Yes. In the CAMPWERK configurator, you can choose your model, trailer type, and the equipment you want. You decide on size, sleeping area, and extras like a kitchen, storage space, or awning tent.
What trailer options are available?
You can choose between three variants:
- ONROAD 750 kg unbraked
- ONROAD 1300 kg braked
- OFFROAD 1500 kg braked
The ONROAD variants are suitable for classic road use. The OFFROAD variant is raised and designed for driving on rough tracks or off-road.
Is a tent trailer suitable for beginners?
Yes. The Economy tent trailer in particular is well suited for beginners because it’s compact and set up in just a few minutes. Thanks to the easy handling, no special prior knowledge is required.
