Müritz: National Park, old town Waren & other activities
At 117 km², the Müritz is the largest lake that lies entirely within Germany.
It is visited by a large number of tourists every year and impresses with its idyllic natural highlights and exciting sights in the surrounding region.
The maximum depth is around 31 meters in some places.
A vacation here is varied, adventurous and relaxing at the same time.
The Müritz National Park should definitely be at the top of your vacation plans.

Ivenacker Eichen, treetop walk & nature reserve
The small village of Ivenack is located around 5 kilometers north-east of the Reuterstadt Stavenhagen.
Ivenack is particularly well known for its nature reserve consisting of a zoo, treetop path and the Ivenack oaks and is ideal for hiking and strolling.
Numerous visitors come here to explore the scenic highlights on the approximately 10-kilometer-long hiking trails.
In the middle of the park stands the 35.5 meter high and 11 meter wide oak tree, which is considered the highlight of Ivenack and is one of the strongest living oaks in the whole of Europe.
In the baroque pavilion, visitors can take an interactive tour through the life of an oak tree.
The nature park and the famous oaks, which are also the subject of several legends, are an absolute must-see on a vacation in the Mecklenburg Lake District and are particularly exciting for families with children.

Lake Tollensesee: swimming, water sports & nature highlights
Lake Tollensesee, which is located south of Neubrandenburg’s city center, is also highly recommended.
The lake is around 11 kilometers long, covers an area of 17.9 km², is up to 32 meters deep in some places and offers numerous opportunities for bathing, swimming and water sports such as diving, surfing, sailing and boating.
Cruises are also offered here.
Lake Tollensesee is one of the cleanest and most beautiful bodies of water in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and is also surrounded by beautiful, idyllic nature.
Several hiking trails, footpaths and cycle paths stretch around the lake and are also surrounded by exciting sights.
