Aquarium: a paradise for children
Anyone visiting Sylt with children must definitely visit the aquarium on Sylt.
Fun, games and a real adventure await you there.
In the aquarium, notorious North Sea fish and dozens of tropical species are waiting to be marveled at.
The highlight of the tropical aquarium: a ten-metre-long glass tunnel with almost 500,000 liters of water!

How do you get to Sylt?
To get to the loading station on the mainland, take the A7 north to Flensburg/Harrislee, then take the B 199 and follow it to Leck.
Turn left there and follow the signs for “Autozug” and “Sylt”.
How do you get to Sylt without a car?
If you are traveling without a car, you can take the train from Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Hanover or Kiel to Westerland, for example.
Alternatively, the Nord-Ostsee-Bahn also goes there.
The NOB runs from Niebüll station directly to the center of Westerland.
Is Sylt really that expensive?
Sylt is always labeled as the island of the rich, but even there you can save money in one corner or another.
There are a total of seven campsites on Sylt.
On the largest in Rantum, a night in a tent costs from eight euros in high season.
Sylt also has an excellent bus network.
A family day ticket is available from 16 euros, and bicycles cost two euros.
