Which driver’s license do I need for tent trailers?
You can drive a tent trailer with your class B driving license without any problems, but there are a few things to bear in mind.
Anyone can pull the unbraked CAMPWERK Onroad tent trailer with a gross vehicle weight rating of 750 kg.
With the braked on-road tent trailer with a gross vehicle weight of 1,300 kg, however, you must note that the total mass of the combination (including car) must not exceed 3,500 kg.
This means that the maximum permissible total weight of your car is at best 2,200 kg.
The braked off-road tent trailer with a permissible gross weight of 1,500 kg may also be towed, provided that the total mass of the combination does not exceed 3,500 kg.
