Interior fittings, superstructure and basic accessories

What does the inside of the tent trailer look like and what is it equipped with?
A comfortable mattress is a must, because a good night’s sleep is essential, especially on vacation. But a suitable room layout, storage space and tidiness are also important for a relaxing time.

Premium king size mattress & suspension

No matter how beautiful a vacation destination is – only with the perfect night’s sleep can it be an absolute rest!
The first foundation for this and probably the most important thing about a tent trailer is a high-quality mattress.
You can look forward to a super comfortable king-size mattress measuring 180 cm x 200 cm.
The integrated premium mattress in the EMP tent trailer guarantees you the perfect sleeping environment, as it adapts individually to every body structure.
It consists of a yielding yet supportive cold foam, which not only supports the spine, but also allows the back muscles and intervertebral discs to relax thanks to the selective pressure relief.
The whole thing is complemented by a comfortable slat base with different firmness zones, so that everyone is guaranteed an individually optimal night’s sleep.

Furnishings and equipment

Other practical interior fittings include a number of flaps and room dividers.
A floor flap is located under the bed so that you don’t have to crawl completely into the trailer to access rear cargo.
At the rear, there is a side-opening tailgate for convenient loading and unloading.
Both the floor flap and the tailgate are very easy to open and can therefore be used as storage space.
A room divider can also be integrated into the sleeping cabin.
This serves as a fall-out protection for smaller children, for example, and also protects them from prying eyes so that you still have your privacy in the evening.

Thanks to the awning, you can create an additional, covered living space that you can use for individual purposes, for example for cooking with the camping kitchen, as a dining area or for setting up camping furniture.
The extension tent expands your living space to an area of up to 18 m² and is therefore a practical accessory that should definitely not be missing on your camping vacation with a tent trailer.
In summer, the side walls of the tent can even be removed if required so that the tent can easily be used as an awning.
This makes it an absolute highlight both on very warm days and when camping in winter if you are spending a long time in one place.

Protection against damage, dirt and theft

To protect your trailer from soiling and guarantee a long service life, a thin roof tarpaulin can simply be laid completely over the tent after it has been set up and tensioned at the corners.
This not only protects it from scratches caused by falling branches and dirt from bird droppings and the like, but also effectively keeps out the sun’s rays on hot days.

Anti-theft device

Back at the campsite, you can simply unlock the trailer again using a key.

Material and processing.
The tent fabric of our trailer tents is made from a high-quality, 450 g blended fabric, also known as canvas. This unique combination of cotton and polyester combines the advantages of a natural fiber with those of a modern high-tech material. The result is a robust, breathable fabric that impresses with its pleasant feel and high dimensional stability.

The tent fabric, which is also used by the military, is impregnated and particularly tear-resistant thanks to the ripstop process. In this special weaving technique, thicker threads are woven into the fabric at intervals of around 10-15 millimetres, giving the fabric its characteristic tiled structure and exceptional tear resistance. It goes without saying that our fabrics are opaque and therefore offer optimum protection and privacy.
The basis of our trailer tents is a robust stainless steel frame with a thickness of 3×3 cm. A 1.8 cm thick, water-resistant wooden floor panel is securely fastened to this sturdy frame with stainless steel screws. The frame of the trailer tents is also made of galvanized steel tubing and special stainless steel components that ensure maximum stability. The modern surface finish not only offers a high level of corrosion protection, but also gives the material a pleasant feel and ensures a durable, weatherproof construction.
We rely exclusively on yarn from the German market leader Amann. Thanks to the combination of a cotton core and a high-tenacity polyester core, this yarn is characterized by a particularly high tensile strength and excellent water resistance.

On contact with water, the cotton coating swells and closes the seam holes created during sewing. For additional protection, all seams in the roof area are fitted with a transparent sealing strip to ensure maximum waterproofness.
Less is sometimes more.
We are often asked: What about the water column? For tent fabrics, the impermeability of the fabric is specified in the form of the water column. For cotton tents, this value is usually around 300 to 400 mm. However, our tent fabric offers an exceptionally high water column for cotton fabric of around 750 mm. This means that theoretically more than 75 cm of water can stand on the material before the first drops penetrate.

A major advantage of cotton as a natural raw material is its ability to swell when it gets damp, which provides additional waterproofing. In contrast, synthetic fabrics, which cannot swell, must have a much higher water column (between 3,000 and 10,000 mm, depending on the material) in order to achieve comparable waterproofness.
