The X-Cover 3.0 saves you time and effort. Traditional, bulky covers can be a real physical challenge, especially on taller vehicles. The new, patented X-Cover takes a different approach: it only covers the necessary area on the sides, between the waterproof floor and the lid. The firmly integrated fabric cover closes with a robust, waterproof mechanism.
Despite its generous size, the iKamper X-Cover is a true lightweight among roof tents, weighing only 58 kg. This makes it perfectly suitable even for smaller vehicles.

The roof tent weighs approximately 58 kg. Thanks to the removable ladder, you can reduce the weight by about 5 kg – ideal for vehicles with a low roof load. This keeps your setup light and flexible without sacrificing comfort.
Cover and pack size
The cover's design combines the robustness and stability of a hardshell with the lightness and flexibility of a softshell. When folded, the tent measures approximately 198 x 123 cm (L x W) and has a height of about 28 cm. Tent base

Tent fabric
The tent fabric of the X-Cover 3.0 consists of a high-quality, 300 g heavy blended fabric, also known as canvas. This combination of cotton and polyester unites the advantages of natural fibers with the durability of modern materials. The result is a robust, breathable fabric that impresses with its pleasant feel and high dimensional stability.
This fabric, which has already proven itself in military applications, is impregnated and particularly tear-resistant. All seams are made with special yarn that expands on contact with water and reliably seals seam holes to provide additional protection against moisture.
Floor
The floor of the iKamper X-Cover 3.0 roof tent is made of innovative aluminum honeycomb panels, which offer exceptional stability while being astonishingly light. Does the Rooftop Tent Fit on My Vehicle?
The roof tent can be mounted on almost any vehicle that has a dynamic roof load of at least 60 kg. You only need two crossbars/load carriers. The roof tent is then attached to the crossbars/load carriers with the included materials. Mounting directly on a roof rail is not recommended, as the distance to the roof is very small and the U-bolts could cause scratches. So, even with a roof rail, you will need crossbars/load carriers.

But With Me, Doesn't the Rooftop Tent Weigh Much More?
For most vehicles, the roof load is between 75 – 100 kg. However, this specification refers to the load during driving! When stationary, the weight that can act on the roof can be significantly higher. Consider this: in case of a rollover, the car must be able to rest on its roof.
