While it used to serve as a landmark for sailors, today it is a popular tourist attraction.
During a visit here, you can take a look at the building, which is quite plain on the outside, but has a number of highlights on the inside.
For example, there are numerous small model ships that were made by sailors over many years.

Accommodation: camping instead of a hotel or vacation home
When camping, you are not only in nature during the day, but also in the evening and at night and can fully enjoy the feeling of closeness to nature and freedom.
You are not tied to just one place.
Instead, you are completely flexible and free to decide where you want to spend the night and where you want to go next, which is a big advantage over staying in a hotel or vacation apartment!
Camping is also much cheaper in direct comparison, as you only have to pay for food, fuel, campsites and any activities.
Camping with a roof tent: freedom, set-up & models
Now the question is, what’s the best way to camp?
With a motorhome, caravan, camper or rather with my own car and a roof tent on top?
The clear favorite is a roof tent!
With this, you are completely free and always have your sleeping space on the roof of your own car.
While it is barely noticeable on the road, it offers an amazingly large and, above all, comfortable area for sleeping and living when opened up.
It can be set up in just a few minutes and without any effort.

If you have decided to go camping, you should choose one or more campsites, or legal pitches, for your overnight stay.
No matter how tempting it may sound, wild camping is generally prohibited in Germany.
However, the designated sites are equipped with numerous roof tent and motorhome pitches and are very natural, which makes it feel as if you are sleeping in the middle of nature.
In the evening, you and your loved ones can sit down comfortably with camping furniture in an awning or simply in front of your roof tent and round off an eventful day.
At night, a special highlight is the amazing view of the starry sky through the panoramic windows.
