Hyundai Offroad: Camping with Santa Fe, Tucson & Galloper

Hyundai is a South Korean car manufacturer and, in addition to efficient small cars, also stands for off-road action.
A prime example of this is the Hyundai Galloper, which was used as an off-road vehicle for desert rallies and much more in the 1990s.
Production was discontinued in 2003, however, and more modern SUV models with off-road capabilities were designed in the off-road vehicle style instead.
The Hyundai Tucson is intended to be a corresponding successor, and has enjoyed increasing popularity since sales began in 2005.
In addition to the Hyundai Tucson, the Santa Fe SUV and the Kona are particularly suitable for off-road trips.
Find out more about the individual models here.
Popular Hyundai off-road models include the Tucson and Santa Fe.

Tucson: off-road champion with modern design, digital equipment and all-wheel drive

The Hyundai Tucson is the modern answer to off-road vehicles.
The SUV is a modern version of an off-road vehicle: sleeker, more compact and yet suitable for rough terrain.
It is in direct competition with the Santa Fe model.
Its body is designed to be progressive and modern and with SmartSense technology, the new models are designed to make driving and traveling even safer.
The spacious interior makes driving a panoramic experience.
Meanwhile, Hyundai has also opted for a new drive system and now offers the Tucson as a (plug-in) hybrid.
With the HTRAC all-wheel drive, the Tucson is ready for any terrain.
It is available with different engines from 116 to 230 hp.

  • Power: 110 to 169 kW / 116 to 230 hp
  • 0 – 100 km/h: 8.0 to 12.1 s

The interior of the latest model is characterized above all by more space, more comfort and the latest technology.
The Santa Fe is now also available as a hybrid, thus adapting to the trends in electric car drives.
The parking assistant and highway assistant (not standard) are designed to make driving in the city and over longer distances as comfortable as possible.
