Camping Ratgeber:
Maintaining a roof tent on a camping vacation
If you want to buy a roof tent, it is already fully waterproofed so that your journey with your
Audi,
Ford, Suzuki, BWM, VW or Land Rover can start right away.
However, the tent will always be exposed to different weather conditions on the road, which is unavoidable.
Rain and sunlight ensure that the protection is lost over time and you therefore need to thoroughly clean and waterproof your tent again.
You can tell when it is time to do this again when the water no longer rolls off the tent as usual.
You can easily test this with a garden hose before the start of each trip.

Impregnation: Sprays and materials
After a certain amount of time and a few trips, you will need to waterproof your tent again and will therefore need a specific spray.
Depending on whether you have a roof tent for 2 people or a roof tent for 4 people and what material your model is made of, some sprays are more recommended than others.
With a cotton tent, for example, you should use a liquid spray so that the breathability of the material is not lost.
Mix this with water to begin with and then apply to the tent with a sponge at even intervals.
You can find the right spray for your vacation here in the CAMPWERK Shop:
