Tent carpet pad – The perfect protection against dirt and moisture!
Have you decided to get away from it all, enjoy nature and go camping?
Sounds like the perfect plan to spend a carefree and relaxed time.
However, a lot comes together when camping, which is why you should also think about the right accessories when packing your outdoor equipment.
For example, if you are traveling with a roof tent or folding caravan, it makes sense to have a tent pad to place under your awning at the campsite.
This protects it from scratches and holes, especially on very uneven ground, and effectively keeps moisture away from the inside of the tent.
Camping Ratgeber:
Optimum protection against dirt, moisture & damage to the tent
When you go camping, you usually arrive at the campsite at the end of an eventful day and want to get straight into your tent.
However, it can always happen that the ground on the campsite is stony, uneven and wet, which is why it makes sense not only to pitch your tent, but also to put a tarpaulin underneath it first.
This is definitely practical for outdoor vacations in many ways.
On the one hand, the floor of your tent is effectively protected from tears, holes and dirt, but also on damp ground, such a tarpaulin prevents water from penetrating your tent, so you are guaranteed to stay dry.
You can spread out your tarpaulin in the appropriate place at the start and simply pitch your tent on it.
This leaves it completely undamaged and clean and can be packed up again immediately after use.
So you don’t have to worry about any possible mold on the underside of your tent.

Tips!
Suitable size & structure
A tent flysheet doesn’t have to be particularly large and expensive.
A simple fabric tarpaulin made of tear-resistant plastic is usually sufficient, which you can easily cut to the size of your tent.
When folded up again, it hardly takes up any space and can therefore be easily transported.
Setting up the tent on the campsite only takes a few seconds and requires no effort.
However, before you pitch your tent, you should first check whether there are any branches, stones or pine cones in the area.
Despite the tarpaulin, you should choose an area that is as flat as possible to guarantee the longevity of your tent and the tarpaulin.
Tip! If you leave the tarpaulin a little larger, you still have an area in front of the tent where you can take off your shoes and thus avoid bringing dirt or moisture into the tent.
This is how you set it up:
- Fabric tarpaulin made from tear-resistant plastic
- Cut to the right size
- If necessary, leave some space at the tent entrance
- Find a suitable surface on as level a floor as possible
- Spread out the groundsheet
- Set up the tent on the tarpaulin
