Camping Ratgeber:
The appeal of winter camping
One of the camping trends in recent years is that we keep stretching the camping season.
And winter camping is becoming increasingly popular in this regard.
Although it may not appeal to everyone, winter camping has a lot of charm.
Why camp in the winter?

You are very aware of the seasons
Camping in the same place in spring or summer can be very different from winter.
The environment is different, the trees are without leaves, the outdoor air smells different, there are different birds chirping you awake in the morning.
The outdoor enthusiast will enjoy the diversity that nature shows us.
Before rest
Most camping spots are infrequently visited.
If you like peace and quiet, camping in an empty field or along a quiet forest edge is very attractive.
Many campsites are closed from October to April.
But there are fortunately many camping options in the winter as well.
Take a look at campspace.com There are lots of private campsites, where you are welcome all year round.
You undergo the elements very intensely
Winter camping, of course, is also a bit of wasting away.
But a little bit of suffering can also be very nice.
And finally, you can dress perfectly well against the cold.
As long as your gear is good.
With good clothing (dress mainly in layers) and a good sleeping bag you can very well resist the cold.
The camping equipment is also important, of course.
If you have a tent trailer or rooftop tent that opens quickly, then you are quickly ready to make a campfire to warm yourself up.
Are you really cold?
Then there are plenty of ways to keep your tent trailer warm, for example.
Being busy braving the cold makes winter camping make you very aware of the elements.
Nice long sleep
Winter has nice long nights.
It is dark early and light again late.
So you don’t have to wake up in the morning to the burning sun on your tent.
Another nice feature: in winter, you are not bothered by buzzing mosquitoes.
Come all the way to yourself
Some people live from summer vacation to summer vacation.
But if you lead a busy life, a weekend break is a good way to unwind.
Do not go on a city trip with all the stimuli that you get.
But take your trailer tent or rooftop tent and go into nature.
And 1 or 2 nights under your canvas tent gives so much more of a getaway feeling than a hotel room bed or cottage.
