The Brodaer Holz is a forest area covering around 860 hectares.
It stretches along the western shore of Lake Tollensesee from the Neubrandenburg district of Broda via the municipality of Wulkenzin to the Penzlin district of Alt Rehse.
In the Middle Ages, the area belonged to Broda Monastery, but nowadays it is a popular excursion destination for many holidaymakers.
Here you can go for walks, hikes and bike rides and enjoy the idyllic tranquillity.
For a break in between, you will come across several restaurants, such as the old forester’s lodge and the Jakobi forest restaurant.

The Behmshöhe observation tower is a 34-metre-high tower in Nemerower Holz on Lake Tollensesee.
The brick tower stands on a sloping cliff directly on the shore of the lake.
It can be climbed daily between 9:00 and 18:00 from April to mid-November.
Once at the top, you have an amazing panoramic view of the entire lake and the picturesque natural surroundings.

Spend carefree hours at the Kulturpark Neubrandenburg
The Kulturpark is also the perfect place to spend a few relaxing hours with your loved ones.
It is a park located southwest of the city center of Neubrandenburg.
The park stretches from the north bank of Lake Tollensesee to Friedrich-Engels-Ring.
Originally, the area served to protect the city from attackers, as it was quite marshy and difficult to pass.
In the meantime, however, numerous bathing areas, walking paths and restaurants have been built here, so that vacationers like to come here frequently.
Incidentally, the Neubrandenburg city wall is also located in the immediate vicinity.
