Pickup Living Cabin Trunk
Automatically set up. Huge bed. Private veranda.
The Trunk is the pickup living cabin with the largest living space you can put on a truck bed. You press once, and the rest runs fully automatically. Both levels extend electrically in about three minutes, and you don’t have to lift a finger.
Upstairs, a bed three meters long awaits, opening onto the open veranda. Downstairs, you can stand upright with 2.45 m of headroom. And the truck bed remains free for firewood, tools, or fishing gear.

If you drive a pickup, you know the choice: either a hardtop for cargo or a pickup living cabin for sleeping. The Trunk is both, and at the same time.
When closed, it’s hardly more than a hardtop. 61 cm high, within the vehicle frame—your driveway stays your driveway. Once set up, you have two floors: 2.45 m headroom downstairs, three-meter bed upstairs. That’s the space of a full-sized living cabin in the height of a hardtop.

Ready for the night at the touch of a button.
A single press on the remote control or in the app is all it takes—and the Wild Land Trunk Pickup Mate transforms your pickup into a comfortable home on the go. The electric opening system automatically lifts the roof and folds out the front section.
Size of the sleeping area
The sleeping area comfortably accommodates up to three people.
Weight
The pickup cabin weighs about 208 kg. For a living cabin with two full floors, that's surprisingly little.
Tent base
Made from aluminum honeycomb panels, the floor impresses with high stability. It is fire-resistant, recyclable, and also acts as an insulator.
Cover and pack size
The cabin's robust hard shell is made of aluminum. When folded, the cabin measures approximately 169x150x61 cm and does not tower over the pickup while driving.
Setup
Because it should be quick and uncomplicated: the pickup cabin is completely set up and ready for use in just about 3 minutes.
Insulation
The hard shell reliably protects the tent interior from cold and noise. The tropical roof protects against heat.
Tent fabric
The tent fabric is breathable, water-repellent, and particularly tear-resistant. After contact with water, the sewing thread swells slightly and reliably seals any holes.
Great view
Eleven windows all around flood the living cabin with light and offer an impressive view in all directions.

360° Panorama, Eleven Windows
Eleven windows go all around, in every direction. You’re not lying in a pickup living cabin with a view, you’re lying right in the middle of it. The cliff face on the left, the fjord on the right, the wind in the trees above you. When it gets dark, the central light rails come on. They shine sideways against the roof lining and turn the interior into a warm space instead of a lit box. You set the mood: bright for cooking, dimmed for talking, almost dark for falling asleep. Plus an audio system with 4.0 surround and its own sound chamber in the setup. The sound is where you are. Downstairs while cooking, upstairs in bed, outside under the awning.
A bed that doesn't end
Three meters long. You won’t get this much bed on any other truck bed. Two adults and a child can lie side by side without anyone having to climb over the other at night. You can sit up without ducking your head. You can stretch your legs, no matter how tall you are. And you can turn over without waking the other person. An internal passage connects both levels. You go upstairs without having to go outside. In the rain at three in the morning, that’s the difference between staying asleep and waking up.
Design & Technology

The innovative design of the Wild Land Trunk Pickup Mate combines modern technology with a robust construction. The electric opening system automatically lifts the roof and unfolds the front area into a generous living and sleeping space—comfortable, stable, and developed for daily use.
When closed, the structure does not protrude above the vehicle’s roofline and thus hardly changes the vehicle height. This means many garages and parking decks remain easily accessible. At the same time, the flat, aerodynamic design ensures minimal impact on handling, air resistance, and fuel consumption.

On the lower level, the ceiling height can be expanded from a sitting height of 1.40m to 2.45m standing height by folding up the sleeping surface. Even tall people can move comfortably without having to stoop.
Safety & Workmanship
Wild Land relies on high-quality materials, precise workmanship, and a well-thought-out design for the Trunk Pickup Mate. The robust aluminum hard shell, the electric opening system, and the stable construction ensure reliable function and high comfort—whether at the campsite, on long journeys, or off the beaten track. Every detail is designed for durability, stability, and daily use, so you can rely on your Pickup Mate at all times.
Tent fabric
The tent fabric consists of a durable blend of cotton and polyester with a water-repellent impregnation and a PU coating with a 2,000 mm water column. The breathable material ensures a pleasant indoor climate and reliably protects against wind and weather—ideal for traveling in a wide variety of conditions.

Floor
The stable construction of the Trunk Pickup Mate is based on a lightweight yet stable aluminum honeycomb floor and a well-thought-out interior structure. High-quality materials ensure a balance of stability, low weight, and high everyday utility—for reliable comfort on every journey.

Power isn't an accessory with the Trunk; it's part of the setup.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the Trunk Pickup Living Cabin fit my pickup?
The Trunk comes in two sizes.
S is built for common pickup widths and fits, for example, Ford Ranger, Toyota Hilux, Toyota Tacoma, Mitsubishi L200, Isuzu D-Max, Jeep Gladiator, Kia Tasman, as well as GWM Cannon and Poer.
L (available from late 2026) is for the big Americans like Ford F-150, RAM 1500, Toyota Tundra, and GMC Hummer EV. Installation is via vehicle-specific adapters, without drilling and without permanent changes.
Technically, a wider living cabin also fits a narrower pickup, but it will then protrude at the sides.
Can I still use the truck bed?
How long does the setup take?
Can I operate the setup alone?
Yes. One press is enough; the drive does the work. Both levels can be moved separately, so you decide at every stop whether you only need the lower level for a break or the whole house for the night.
Will my vehicle roof remain usable?
There’s a little space left at the front, but not much. The upper level of the Trunk folds over the driver’s cab, so only flat cargo fits underneath. Auxiliary headlights, a light bar, or a flat roof rack are no problem. If you want your vehicle roof to remain completely free, the Wingman X is the more suitable system.
Does the Trunk have a skylight?
No. The Trunk relies on a panorama instead of a skylight: eleven windows all around provide a 360-degree view on the upper level. The light comes indirectly from central light rails that shine sideways against the headliner. Only the Wingman X has a real, openable roof hatch.
What happens if the electronics fail?
Then you continue electrically. You connect an external 12-volt source via a separate emergency cable and raise or lower both levels with it. The built-in battery is normally sufficient for a complete setup and breakdown without you having to plug anything in.
